Main Application

The product is a sweet taste agent. Its sweet degree is about 500 times sweeter than that of sugar. It is widely used in foodstuff, drinks, madicines, feed, electricity plating in stead of sugar. The product has stable property and can be used as assay agent of blood circulation and Nicket-plated brightener.

Sodium Saccharin is the sodium salt form of saccharin, a synthetic non-nutritive sweetener that is 300–500 times sweeter than sugar (sucrose). It has been widely used for decades across food, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications due to its stability, high sweetness, and zero-calorie profile.

1. Food and Beverage Industry

Sodium saccharin is extensively used as a low-calorie sweetener in products such as soft drinks, baked goods, canned fruits, jams, chewing gum, and desserts. It is especially valuable in sugar-free and diabetic-friendly products, as it does not affect blood glucose levels.

2. Pharmaceuticals

In the pharmaceutical field, sodium saccharin is added to oral medications, syrups, chewable tablets, and lozenges to mask bitter tastes and improve patient compliance. It is also used in toothpaste and mouthwash formulations for flavor enhancement.

3. Personal Care Products

Sodium saccharin is a common ingredient in toothpastes, mouth rinses, and lip balms where sweetness is desired without promoting tooth decay. It provides a pleasant taste and remains stable over a long shelf life.

4. Electroplating Industry

In the metal plating industry, sodium saccharin is used as an additive in nickel electroplating baths. It improves the brightness and smoothness of the metal finish, acting as a grain refiner and leveling agent.

5. Animal Feed

It is also used as a sweetening agent in animal feed, especially in pig and poultry feed, to improve palatability and encourage intake, particularly when bitter medications are included.
